Pediatric urgent care opens in St. Joseph

Downing Pediatrics opened a new Pediatric Urgent Care location in St. Joseph, according to News-Press Now. The facility, located at 1918 North Woodbine Road, is open to all children aged newborn to 18-years and will be from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.

  • Robotics team competes in competitions

    The Platte Valley N.E.R.D.S. robotics team finished in seventh place against 28 teams at the KC East League Tournament earlier this month, according to the Maryville Forum. The alliance won three of the four matches in the playoff matches and advanced to the Missouri Kansas City West Super Qualifier last weekend.

  • Nodaway County seniors receive scholarships

    Seven seniors from Nodaway County received scholarships from the Nodaway County Cattlemen Association. This years scholarship recipients are Hadley  Cline from Jefferson, Brylie Henggeler from  Maryville, Paige Hanson from Nodaway-Holt, Katelynn Parman from North Nodaway, Paidyn Linville from West Nodaway, Bailey Busby from Northeast Nodaway, and Hunter Redden, who received the at-large scholarship.
