Local school, university recording swatting calls

Law enforcement is investigating swatting calls to North Nodaway R-VI and Northwest Missouri State University yesterday, according to the Maryville Forum. Law enforcement is investigating swatting calls to North Nodaway R-VI and Northwest Missouri State University yesterday, according to the Maryville Forum. A call to the university came in around 11:30 a.m. while a call to the North Nodaway Elementary School came in about noon. The call is reported to have been traced to an over seas numbers.

    A St. Joseph native and military member is now a Sentinel guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, according to News-Press Now. Josh Habeeb was awarded the 732nd badge since it was first established in 1958. 

  • Downtown Maryville presents awards at annual meeting

    Downtown Maryville honored three community volunteers during its annual stockholder meeting earlier this month. Doug Seipel received the Shooting Star Award for being a new volunteer for Fall into Fun. Benjamin Blackford was the  Downtown Maryville Ambassador and Stephanie Campbell-Yount received the Downtown Champion Award.
