Downtown Maryville presents awards at annual meeting

Downtown Maryville honored three community volunteers during its annual stockholder meeting earlier this month. Doug Seipel received the Shooting Star Award for being a new volunteer for Fall into Fun. Benjamin Blackford was the  Downtown Maryville Ambassador and Stephanie Campbell-Yount received the Downtown Champion Award.

    The St. Francis Foundation recently announced the new Ron and Billye McCrary Scholarship for Nursing Excellence thanks to a $35,000 gift from the McCrarys.   • St. Joseph native now guard for Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

    A St. Joseph native and military member is now a Sentinel guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, according to News-Press Now. Josh Habeeb was awarded the 732nd badge since it was first established in 1958.
