Burlington Jct. approves new playground equipment purchase

The Burlington Junction City Council  approved the purchase of new playground equipment for Volunteer Park at a meeting earlier this month, according to the Nodaway Newsleader. The equipment will cost a total of $1,849 and replacing a spring rider will cost $880. The city also needs to replace a total of 26 lights at the ballfields.

Doug Seipel received the Shooting Star Award for being a new volunteer for Fall into Fun. Benjamin Blackford was the  Downtown Maryville Ambassador and Stephanie Campbell-Yount received the Downtown Champion Award.

    Law enforcement is investigating swatting calls to North Nodaway R-VI and Northwest Missouri State University yesterday, according to the Maryville Forum.
