  • North Nodaway approves new principal

     North Nodaway Board of Education approved the hiring of Cody Jenkins for the 2025-26 middle school and high school principal at a meeting last month, according to the Nodaway Newsleader. Jenkins has been at North Nodaway as a physical education teacher, athletic director and coach over the past five years.

  • Maryville’s finance director to retire

    The city of Maryville announced Finance Director Denise Town will retire in July, according to a press release. Town has served in this role since November 1992. The recruit process to fill the position will start immediately.

  • Nonprofit summer enrichment camp coming to Clarinda

    A nonprofit summer enrichment camp called  Camp Invention is coming to Clarinda Elementary School the week of July 7-July 11, according to a press release.   • St. Joseph fire chief retiring this week

    St. Joseph Fire Chief Kenny Cordonnier will retire from his position on April 4 after a 43-year career, according to News-Press Now. He has served as chief since 2021. Assistant Fire Chief Jamie McVicker will serve as acting fire chief during a search for a replacement fire chief.
